Built around how people actually learn

Not a video library. A personal tutor that watches how you work and plans what's next.

Difficulty that adapts

Every problem is generated for you. Two clean solves and we step up; a struggle and we ease back — in real time.

Knows when you struggle

Wrong answers are weighted, time is compared to a baseline, hints count. Tricky topics land in your Strengthen queue.

Reviews before you forget

Spaced repetition schedules each topic so memory sticks, with intervals that stretch as you master it.

Every idea is connected

Each lesson links to the ideas it builds on. New to a topic? See exactly what background helps, then follow the path in order or explore freely.

The engine behind every session

01

You practise

Problems are generated fresh at the level that suits you right now.

level∈{1,2,3}\text{level} \in \{1, 2, 3\}
02

We measure

Accuracy, attempts, hints and time combine into a struggle score; mastery updates with Bayesian knowledge tracing.

s=1−(1−e)(1−h)(1−t)s = 1 - (1-e)(1-h)(1-t)
03

Your plan updates

Due reviews, weak spots and ready-to-learn lessons are interleaved into today's plan.

FreeMathCamp, answered

What is FreeMathCamp?

FreeMathCamp (FreeMathCamp) is a free online course that teaches all the math you need before calculus. Its Foundations course has 95 connected lessons across 15 units, from place value and fractions through algebra, functions, exponentials, geometry and trigonometry to a first look at limits, with interactive visuals and unlimited adaptive practice.

Is FreeMathCamp really free?

Yes. Every lesson, every practice problem and all progress tracking are free, with no ads and no paywall. You only need a free account to save progress and get personalised reviews.

Who is FreeMathCamp for?

Anyone who wants solid math foundations: students preparing for calculus, adults returning to math, and learners filling gaps before algebra, physics, data science or programming courses. It starts from the basics, so no prior knowledge is assumed.

How does the adaptive practice work?

Problems are generated fresh for you. The engine raises the difficulty after two clean solves and eases off when you struggle. It measures struggle from wrong attempts, hints and time taken, estimates your mastery with Bayesian knowledge tracing, and schedules spaced reviews so ideas stick.

Do I have to take the lessons in order?

By default, yes: in Path mode each lesson unlocks when you finish a practice session on the one before it. If you'd rather explore, switch to Audit mode on the course page or in Settings and every lesson opens. Either way, each lesson lists the earlier lessons it builds on, and anyone can read the lessons without an account.

What topics does FreeMathCamp cover?

Number sense and arithmetic, integers, fractions, decimals and percentages, ratios and proportions, exponents and roots, algebra, equations and inequalities, graphs and linear equations, functions, polynomials, quadratics and rational functions, exponentials and logarithms (including e and natural logs), geometry, trigonometry, and sequences and series. A final unit introduces the difference quotient and limits, so you start calculus ready.

Ready when you are.

Ten minutes a day. No ads, no paywall — just the clearest path to calculus we could build.
